Each year, Belvedere Plantation looks to the surrounding community to find friendly folks to work during the Fall Festival season. With such a large operation, there are many job openings in all kinds of activities associated with agri-tainment and farm work. The list below details the different job categories and the associated responsibilities and qualifications. Look the list over. Job Categories at Belvedere Plantation's Fall Festival

The various part time jobs we offer are listed below. Some employees may work in more than one area. All jobs on the farm require active customer service and a level of fitness enabling standing/walking and ability to work in an outside environment.

Cashiering/Retailing- These jobs require the ability to run a register, count money accurately, have good customer service skills, possess an outgoing and friendly personality, and an interest in sales. These jobs include our Plantation Market, Bakery, Admissions, Pumpkin Checkout and other points of sales around the farm.

Attendant- Attendants work in various areas including the Fun Barn, Zipline, pedal tracks, wagon loading/unloading and maze. Attendants need to be able to work with customers in a pleasant, but in charge manner, be able to provide instructions to customers and be vigilant about safety.

Entertainer- These jobs involve speaking to groups of people large and small at areas including Pig Race Announcer, balloon artist in costume and Maze Orientation. These jobs require enthusiasm, an outgoing personality, the ability to project your voice, and be able to memorize short presentations. If you enjoy being the center of attention, this could be for you.

Custodial- Custodial tasks involve checking trash cans, wiping tables, cleaning restrooms and keeping the grounds free of litter. Needed traits are attention to details and to be organized. Custodians need to be able to interact in a friendly manner with customers in order to answer general customer questions about the farm and attractions.

Food Service- These areas cover a ranges of abilities, from serving food orders to various types of food preparation (grilling, frying, entree assembly, etc.). We are looking for individuals that are good team players, are friendly with customers, have attention to details and food safety. May also need to be able to cashier.

Field Trip Tour Guides- During October weekdays (generally mid morning to early afternoon) we have offer field trips to schools and daycare centers. Tour Guides need to love and relate well to children, be able to teach short lessons (we provide the scripts and training) about farming and related topics. Other desired traits are the ability to be flexible ("go with the flow") and be a good team player with other staff.
